Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Human Development Index (HDI) on the poverty rate in Poso Regency during the period 2010-2020. The research method used is a quantitative approach with secondary data analysis. A simple linear regression model was used to test the relationship between HDI and poverty levels. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between HDI and poverty level with a regression coefficient of -2.465. This means that every one percent increase in HDI will lead to a reduction in the poverty rate by 2.465 percent. These findings confirm that increased access to education, health, and a decent standard of living can contribute to reducing poverty rates. Therefore, this study recommends improving policies that support human development as the main strategy in poverty alleviation.
