Abstract

Stunting is a serious health issue in Indonesia, with a prevalence reaching 26.6 percent in 2023. In Tonusu Village, Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi, there are six cases of stunting that require immediate attention. The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) of Tentena Christian University focuses on preventing stunting through improving food security and promoting healthy lifestyles. This program includes problem mapping, data analysis, socialization, installation of educational billboards, and distribution of vegetable plants along with additional seedlings. The results of these activities indicate significant differences in hygiene practices and nutritional intake between healthy children and those experiencing stunting. By providing 75 vegetable polybags to 15 households with stunted children, pregnant women, and malnourished children, this program aims to enhance food security and reduce the prevalence of stunting in Tonusu Village. Continuous education through billboards and socialization is expected to raise community awareness about the importance of healthy lifestyles and clean environments in preventing stunting.
